Meet the Founders
A husband and wife team with almost twenty five years of shared experience working on creative projects for brands across a range of markets, Arran Cross and Fern Merrills founded Department Two in 2017.
Today Department Two directs and produces work for select clients with shared values of passion, quality, and imagination.
Their work takes them all over the world in pursuit of rich and dynamic stories that deserve telling properly.
Fern is an Art Director and Creative Consultant. Arran is Photographer and Filmmaker.

Our studio is located in the centre of Sheffield, in the old Aberdeen Court - part of a late 19th century silver and electro-plate works.
Sheffield is known for its industrial heritage and thriving creative community, it’s a hub for independent businesses, art, and music and we are proud to call the Steel City home.
